My Favorite Things Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favorite things
Cream colored ponies and crisp apple streudels
Doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles
Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings
These are a few of my favorite things
Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes
Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes
Silver white winters that melt into springs
These are a few of my favorite things
When the dog bites
When the bee stings
When I'm feeling sad
I simply remember my favorite things
And then I don't feel so bad

The world become a better place again,
like it used to be, when you are small,
when you simply remember your favorite things.
Isn't that amazing when daddy is the great magician;
where you forgotten your toothache when riding on his shoulder.
Isn't that touching when mummy is the angel;
where she stays up all night when you are sick, wishing that the sick is hers.
Isn't that sweet when a lollipop can brighten your day;
when a slice of bread is all you have, and you share it on your first day of kindergarden.
Isn't that comfortable when hugs are simple and no reason;
where the whole world is what you'll give up for the smelly bolster to be with you through the night.
